Commercial Gate Automation – Electric Gates

BFT aeires 1000 electric gate motorWhether it’s swing gate automation, sliding gate automation or bi-folding gate automation, it is crucial that all works carried out by the commercial gate installation company comply with the Machinery Directive and health and safety recommendations as set out by the Health and Safety Executive (normally known as the HSE).

Portcullis Gate Automation is one such commercial electric gate company that both complies with current legislation as outlined in the Machinery Directive, as well as HSE health and safety recommendations.

Safety and human preservation is paramount when installing a machine driven device / electric gate that may be regarded as dangerous and potentially harmful, and commercial gate automation most definitely falls into this category.

As with residential electric gates we always bespoke design the commercial gate automation process. Our service includes a full risk assessment and health and safety check as standard, outlining those potential crushing, cutting, shearing and trapping hazards and danger areas, over and above the functional requirements you as a commercial gate customer may have.

Because of the compliance to the Machinery Directive and HSE health and safety guidelines we do not supply off-the-shelf third-party electric gates. We choose the best suited components from gate manufacturers, put them together to make a machine, install them for our customers, and then warranty those electric gate installations.

One example of the bespoke nature of commercial gate automation; one customer requested to change an existing very busy large sliding gate into two smaller bi-parting gates to save seconds in opening time, a good example where an automated bi folding gate would excel.
